Tru Thoughts present the first two tracks from red hot new signing Titeknots, lifting the lid on his luminous, genre-mashing take on house music with a digital double A-side single, released on 16th September.

Two bona fide DJ weapons, “Mind Open” brings heavy basslines alongside a party-starting Afro inspired vocal hook, and jazzy house is the order of the day on “Wordy”, laden with violins galore.

For the DJs, there is an Instrumental VIP version of “Mind Open” which will not be released and is exclusively available for promo on request. Likewise, get in touch if you need full WAVs of these tracks for DJ play.

An early leak of this music has brought positive tastemaker reactions from all over the world, including the likes of Gerd, LTJ Bukem, Joe 90 (FutureBoogie), Ben Osborne (Noise of Art), Jason Pulaski (KUCI), Eric Lawrence (KCRW), Dom Servini & Scrimshire (Wah Wah 45s), Eddy Ramich and more.

A killer club and festival DJ whose recent highlights include a three hour set at Glastonbury, Titeknots’ future dates include support for Daedelus (full details to be announced soon), and will see him ramping it up with an Ableton live set.

The first Titeknots release was in September 2013. After the first couple of demo tracks found their way into the sets of Tru Thoughts boss Robert Luis, a series of singles followed in 2014.

Early support came from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Todd Edwards, Nightmares On Wax and DJ Zinc, with many DJs describing the Titeknots sound as refreshing. ... more
